EMO culture, fashion and especially hairstyles have already started influencing many teens. With ever-growing demand at hair saloons for EMO boys and girls hairstyles, it has become a casual scene on the street to spot younger generation wearing EMO hairstyles. Large numbers of websites have mushroomed with a theme targeted at how EMO ideology and fashion statements will have its impact on the celebrity hairstyles, film, television, mass media and literature.

Internet and on line videos offer a rich source for knowing EMO songs, EMO music and thereby understanding the significance of real EMO love. Dedicated EMO boys, girls and kids love to be themselves and being loyal to true EMO love.  Finding someone you truly love is generally a tough task, nevertheless EMO boys and girls are better placed to do so, as their preferences and goals are common to each other. EMO love in 2009 could be a hit looking at the way the popularity of EMO culture, EMO fashion, EMO music and EMO songs is gaining rapid momentum on the World Wide Web.

Stereotyped EMO culture and fashions combine basic elements of typical hairstyles, standard hair accessories, dress code, jewelry and shoes. However, EMO culture often tries out new concepts. EMO as a society knows how to use creativity and new ideas for becoming different from the mass without sacrificing the core tenets of EMO culture. EMO culture 2009 might offer few exciting and surprising events in EMO fashion and hairstyles. EMO culture in 2009 would for sure looks like a top hit on the Internet community.

Emo culture is the talk of the town and often appears in global news media due to various reasons. Recently a news item appeared about a 13 year old girl committing suicide and the parents blamed her suicide on Emo music. Another news item cited Emo youths becoming targets of attacks in Mexico where Emo is often a victim of scores of jokes.

Later on there were many twists given to this news story, one of which argued that it is nothing but anti-Emo publicity. Emo Riots in Mexico City has remained as the ever hot story on many blogging communities.

Emo or Scenestyle is the question? What is more cool or what is more popular? We try to track emo and scene style popularity over some period of time and we can provide you nice answers. Of course emo is emo and scene is scene but what is the difference and what is in my neighborhood.

A lot of parents don’t want to see their kids look like emo or scene but we dont give up as this is our life. Not that we want to be different but we know why. We don’t want to be judged by our outfit because we are different. It is scene and emo. Both styles rules but there are some differences.

- Lifetime’s “Seven Inches” CD was released by Glue Records and features heartfelt singing along with bounding, charged speed and energy.  It also features some of the sweetest melodies you’ll find anywhere.  The band stated that their mission was to reunite the Emo and hardcore punk communities–and their music took large strides in that direction.
 
- Falling Forward’s “Hand Me Down” CD found itself in the midst of several styles.  It was part east-coast hardcore, art Midwestern “Emo-core,” and part Emo yelling.  This group featured sensitive, melodic rock that was at the same time powerful.

- Split Lip (also known as Chamberlain)’s album, “Fate’s Got a Driver” has good Emo buildups that most enjoy.

- Rites of Spring’s 1985 CD, “End on End” is considered essential listening for Emos because of its intensity and vocal emotion.

- Policy of Three was an LP released by Old Glory Records.  It featured a DC style, but had a lot of mathematical tautness reminiscent of Drive Like Jehu.  Their songs featured a lot of evil buildups and tension.

- Floodgate released one LP (also a 2 x 7″) that Emos will like.  This is emotional punk at its finest, with a catchy songwriting that will stick in your head like a fish-hook.  In all of these songs, the singer eventually and inevitably goes crazy, screaming things like “Get this thing out!”

- Julia had a quality LP / CD at the tail end of the first Emo boom.  It was tight and had a rocking DC sound, with a wailing, almost out of control singer, always on the verge of going nuts and very nearly toppling the amazing melodies that everyone else in the band was creating.  The best part of the recording was an epic-length melody that slowly built up. The song very nearly breaks your heart.

- Reach Out has a 7″ and also, with Honeywell, a split 7″.  Their songs feature a chaotic, anthematic, epic feel that many Emos love.
 
- Swing Kids has a CD (also 7″) from 31G Records.  It’s difficult to describe it in a few words, but the first track is the best example of their heavy, gut-wrenching style–and yet it’s also brilliantly musical.  You won’t find any better Justin Pearson music than on this recording.

- Portraits of Past 7″ / split with Bleed.  This recording was a shock to many when first released. Yet today, in the Emo community, the vocals are considered some of the most extreme screams to ever make it to tape.

- Mohinder.  All of their recordings have a melodic hardcore sound that will twist around the skull.

The Emo scene is increasing in popularity as we get deeper into 2008. Based originally around punk and rock it has now become much more “emotional” in its context, and there is the origin of the Emo scene name.

Music is of course important to the Emo scene but it is much more than just a like of certain types of music and is a whole lifestyle. Dress is now vital to the whole look and goes beyond even the clothes that are worn of the haircut that is sported. Getting into the Emo scene is nothing to be worried about, and although many people are sensitive they are not suicidal as is the typical stereotype portrayed by the media.

Emo haircuts are the most obvious symbol of the Emo scene. For males Emo haircuts are actually indicative or an under washed head of hair, there is a definite greasy look associated with them. Male Emo haircuts see lengthy hair hanging down over one eye, the hair is almost always dyed to a black colour, with red streaks intermixed with it.

Female Emo haircuts are actually fairly similar to male Emo haircuts, and it can be awkward trying to determine sexes if looking from the rear especially. Female Emo haircuts will have the same dark looks with lighter highlighted streaks, and that fringe that covers one eye. The only real difference is that it is much more common for Emo females to actually wash their hair.

Going forward into 2008 Emo haircuts are definitely here to stay, but boys just remember where the shampoo is.

Emo people love emo music

Evergreen released a 12″ that Emos value. It has dynamic, churning music and sweet, whispering vocals.  This one is quite rare, as are their 7″s.  Latch onto them if you find them.

Elliot released a CD / LP through Revelation Records entitled “U.S. Songs.”  This group is one of the better clones of Sunny Day Real Estate (and there are hundreds of them). The songs from the past 15 articles are what we consider to be the cream of the Emo crop–the songs that define the music of a culture.  However, keep in mind that Emo keeps evolving and re-defining itself. As it does, so too will its music.  But as long as it continues to wrench open the human mind and heart and expose the emotion inside, it will always be Emo.

Moss Icon had a 1988 CD entitled “Lyburnum Wit’s End Liberation Fly” that is important in the development of Emo music.  It represents the start of the loud / soft Emo crescendo.  The CD helped advance the vocal sound of Emo music a long way.

Native Nod’s “Answers” recording, as well as “Today, Puberty; Tomorrow, the World” CD have some of the first total Emo screaming you’ll find–and as such, these are historically important recordings.

Hoover’s “Lurid Traversal of Rte.” was a 1997 recording featuring reunion songs that were never released before the group disbanded.  The sound is somewhat like classic DC mid-tempo style.  The sound featuring basslines that are serious and dark. The song “Cuts Like Dogs” is especially intense and features much of what made this group great.
